Ludington Area Pickleball Club

The Ludington Area Pickleball Club is a group of dedicated pickleball players who are committed to promoting the sport in the Ludington area. They raised funds to convert the Oriole Field tennis courts into pickleball courts and continue to support the court maintenance. The club facilitates public play, organizes league games, hosts an annual tournament, and welcomes players of all skill levels to join in the fun! Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, the pickleball courts at Oriole Field is a great place to meet other players and enjoy the game.

LAP Board Meeting:  Friday, September 20 at 9:00 a.m., 107 S. Harrison Street, Ludington (LACA)

LAP Ladies' Round-Robin: Every Wednesday (3.5+) and Thursday (3.0) at 12:30 p.m.

Monthly Potluck: Monday, September 23 at 12:30 p.m.

Ludington Pickleball Outdoor Courts

Located in Oriole Park on the corner of West Tinkham Avenue and Lakeshore Drive.  

Ludington has 8 well-maintained public courts, three blocks from the crystal waters of Lake Michigan and Stearns Park Beach.

Nets are up, weather-depending, from April to November. 

Every Day 9am-Noon

You do not need to bring a group. Everyone is able to join in games.

Rotation is used left to right in the paddle holders on the East side of the courts. 

After every game, all players are to leave the courts. 

All levels are welcome to play!

Every day Noon-9pm

Bring your own group to play games. 

If the courts are full and people are waiting to play, you must exit the court after playing a game and begin paddle rotation.

LAP volunteers played pickleball in the Freedom Festival Grand Parade!

The Ludington Area Pickleball Club participated for the second consecutive year in the Ludington Area Jaycees Freedom Festival Parade on July 4th. The club members showcased their skills and enthusiasm by playing pickleball down Ludington Avenue. This fun and engaging display aimed to promote the sport of pickleball and encourage community involvement. Way to go!!

Our local Girl Scout Troop has donated four pickleball paddles and four pickleballs to the Mason County District Library in Ludington!

They are available for checkout for up to three days.  All you need is a library card!

If you're thinking about pickleball, here's your chance to try it out before buying a pickleball paddle!

Member Mixer - June 8

Though it rained, we were able to play a few games of pickleball for the 2024 Member Member benefiting the Lakeshore Food Club. Thank you to Members of the Social Committee especially Julie Lowing and Karen Fredrickson and their team for their part in organizing the Member -Member. Thank you to Katie Provenzano and Carol Henke for organizing the court and partner assignments for the day. Thank you to Carman Chapman and her team for gathering prize donations. And THANK YOU to the business of Ludington who generously supported the event by supplying gifts and prizes. Pentwater vs. Ludington Pickleball Challenge. 

Huge thanks to the Pentwater Tennis and Pickleball Club for organizing the first Pentwater vs. Ludington Pickleball Challenge! It was a close competition, with Pentwater winning 28 games to Ludington's 26. Congrats to all the players for great sportsmanship and some amazing pickleball! We can't wait for next year's event, which will be hosted by Ludington!

Ludington Area Pickleball Member Leagues

LAP is dedicated to promoting the sport of Pickleball in the Ludington area. The organization offers a variety of programs and events for players of all ages and skill levels, including beginner lessons, leagues, dedicated drop-in play times, and tournaments. You must be an active member to participate in leagues and round robins.
